Is every booking accounted for?
Does the cash, card and online money add up?

Explain, lock and prepare.

Zennly does steps 1 to 11 as the day happens.
In Zennly, each payment is recorded by method against its booking, discounts need a manager's approval, and the day is locked once it reconciles. Nuad Thai Spa Kathmandu closes four branches this way.
Daily close questions.
What is a daily close in a spa or salon?
A daily close is the end-of-day check that every booking, service and payment for the day agrees. It compares cash, card and online takings with what the system says should have been collected, reviews discounts and refunds, and ends with the day being signed off.
How long should a daily close take?
For a single branch it should take minutes, not an hour, when payments are recorded against bookings during the day. It takes long when the owner has to rebuild the day from notebooks, WhatsApp chats and memory.
Who should do the daily close?
The branch manager or the front-desk lead closes the day, and the owner reviews the summary. Keeping the person who takes the cash separate from the person who signs off reduces errors and theft.
Do I need software to do a daily close?
No. This checklist works on paper. Software helps because payments are tied to bookings as they happen, discounts need approval, and the totals for every branch are ready without counting.
